.SYNOPSIS...

Radar and satellite analysis illustrates convective showers and
storms south of the coastal waters this afternoon / evening. A 
coastal trough will begin to develop through the weekend below the
60NM offshore waters and lift toward the Mississippi Delta late 
Sunday. While the more active and persisting clustered storms are 
forecast to remain over the central Gulf, a few rounds of 
convection are forecast to occur within the nearshore waters 
overnight through Saturday night. Variable east winds forecast to 
become gentle northerlies Friday morning through the weekend.

Seas will continue to gradually decrease tonight. Winds become 
more northerly on Friday. Isolated to scattered showers and 
thunderstorms are expected this evening into tonight. A few 
thunderstorms could be strong, capable of winds over 40 knots and 
locally higher seas. Increasing onshore flow is expected by the
early to mid part of next week.

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...

Moderate to Fresh (BF 4-5) northeasterly flow will continue through 
Friday becoming more northerly then decreasing to Gentle to Moderate 
(BF 3-4). Seas are currently around 5 feet today with 8-9 second 
swells. Expect around a moderate (40-60%) chance for showers and 
thunderstorms over much of the waters tonight through Friday. 
There will be a low to medium (20-50%) chance of showers and 
thunderstorms Saturday into Saturday night with the highest 
chances over the offshore Gulf waters. Winds will shift southerly 
Monday into Monday night and remain southerly through mid next 
week.
